Seven tips on setting successful Pinterest account for your restaurant

Pinterest is quickly becoming the hottest new social network, and a recently conducted study reveals that Pinterest drove more traffic than Google +, YouTube, and Linkedin combined in January of this year. To find out how to develop your business Pinterest presence, try these seven simple steps.
1. Reserve your space- even if you are not posting any content yet, reserve your user name because some Pinterest members are already using brand names and logos for which they have no affiliation. Registration takes only couple of minutes, plus you can use graphics or profile info from your existing Twitter or Facebook page.

2. Leverage your brand- be consistent with your already established brand, style, and colors. Bring your restaurant alive by showcasing photos or videos of your restaurant and menu.
3. Think relationships no Promotions- since Pinterest is centered around interests like weddings, baby showers, food recipes, home decor, etc., leverage these themes by creating mood boards relevant to your restaurant brand. Make sure you convey a consistent image through your boards, and that you are also mixing external content which echoes your product themes.
4. Include prices- prices will help customers identify particular menu items or any other merchandise you have for sale.
5. Add "Pin It" button- add the Pinterest button to your website or restaurant blog right next to your Facebook and Twitter button. This will make it easier for your visitors to add images from your product pages.
6. Use hashtags- many people may not be aware that Pinterest supports hashtags similar to Twitter which can offer organization support. For example tagging each of your photos with your board name will increase your chances that your restaurant board will be found in searches.
7. Engage with the Pinterest community- like any other social network don't just broadcast your message but listen and engage your future customers.

Good luck and Happy Pinning!
